I know that it has been a while since I've posted anything to this.  To be perfectly honest, I'm a bit of a procrastinator, I never make my bed, and I'm not good at updating electronic media.  However, despite my slow response, I want to thank everyone who supported NJR's first production, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged!, and to share some exciting news.

About the same time as I was upstate for the Woodstock Film Festival we got word that we had received financing to perform The Complete Works... in Belgium.  We are working extremely hard to upgrade the show for the new audience (ISB) and we hope that we do not let them down.  We're also looking at creating a larger "online presence" in hopes of increasing the relationship between viewer and show and moving it beyond the traditional relationship of the stage.

I would say that I will make sure to keep everyone posted on what happens, but as we discussed already, I'm not the best at that - so let's leave it at I will do my best to n

No Jacket Required (the new theater group that I am working with to produce some great summer shows) is having a happy hour party-fundraiser on Thursday, June 26th at Red Sky bar so that we can perform free performances of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged this summer!  I hope everyone can make it since it is sure to be a great time!  For information see the invite below or check out: www.shakespeareabridged.net/social-events.html

I'm thrilled to be able to say that one of my one-act plays, "Coffee & Fools," is going to be produced at the American Theatre of Actors.  The cast is great and the production team is top notch, so I am excited to see the end result.  If you want to purchase tickets or find out more about the show, check out the webiste: http://coffeeandfools.weebly.com/index.html

Also, here are links to the other media publicity for the show:

Happy New Year! 01/04/2008

Happy belated New Year!  I hope that everyone had a great time in '07 and found some reasonable resolutions for '08, like staying out of rehab or avoiding embarrassing vegas marriages.  I was going to resolve to be better about writing updates, but I would feel pretty crappy about myself  if I had to break my resolution before even beginning it.  So instead I resolved not to lower my own self esteem by making unattainable resolutions.

In other news, 2008 started off on a run for me with "My Dinner with Amy" being extended for another run by ATA.  Our final shows are this weekend, so if you haven't had a chance to see it yet, time's a ticking away.  Check out the news page for info about the show and tickets.

You'll notice that although the "look" has stayed the same, quite a lot of content has been added to the site in the last couple of days.  Of the more significant changes to note are:

-Video Gallery added (with Brooklyn Film Racing Competition video)
-Photo Gallery redesigned
-"Playwright Section" redesigned with Downloadable PDF excerpts of one acts and premiere information
-Media related links
-New FILM and THEATER resumes, in easy to read pdf formats
-Biography added to Resume section

-And a "Predisposed News" section

All in all, I'm hoping the changes provide a lot more entertainment for everyone, especially as we put more video content up from the projects that I've wrapped.  We're also going to start sending out regular updates via email, so use the contact form to sign up for the email list!!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

It has been a little while since I had a chance to update everyone, but that is not to say that nothing exciting has happened.  Catching up on the past: the remainder of the shoot for Predisposed went extremely well (without nearly as many technical delays as the first half of the shoot).  We shot the final scene on the last day as planned, and thanks to the dexterity of the crew - who moved with cinematic blitzkrieg speed setting up the shots - we were able to spend a lot of time working behind the camera.  Everyone walked away feeling confident that we put together a great film, and after watching a rough cut that Phil and Alex threw together I am confident that this is true.

In other news, I signed on to do Tony Fiorentino's new play, "Dinner with Amy," premiering at the American Theatre of Actors.  It is a fast paced, witty comedy (a la anything written by Aaron Sorkin) about a fundamentalist Evangelical named Amy who attempts to convert a professor from the local university and self-admitted serial sex-dater.  It is scheduled to open on December 19th and run through December 23rd in ATA's Sergeant Theater.
